Set of 36 Enclosures like this one provide tools that meet my needs for heavy mechanical work that requires the oversized deep head sizes shown here. This set does not have standard length flat sockets which limits its usefulness. DIY projects that will fit a DEEP socket. This is a complete set (Figure 1) of ALL DEEP impact resistant 1/2" ratcheting hex sockets with 3 extensions, plus a universal joint and adapter sockets. 14 SAE sockets are in sizes 3/8" through 1 1/4" present, 15 metric sockets also 6 point sockets from 10mm to 32mm This is a useful selection of deep socket sizes I may need. Latches (Figure 7) The lack of Standard length sockets in the set make it impossible to get into hard-to-reach places when those are the only sockets you have.They are coated with manganese phosphate which produces a black finish to resist rust and corrosion.They have holes for a ball detent to hold the socket on my tool, and are hollow the full length of the socket.(Figure 4) They are made of chrome vanadium (Cr-V) steel, which is used for most en heads, but is not as strong as chrome-molybdenum (Cr-Mo) steel. These nuts are thick walled so they can be used with a demolition hammer. The bushings are stamped with their dimensions and clearly laser engraved (Figure 3) and the size numbers are cast on the body. With laser engraved sizes on them so it's easy to get the ones I need. TIP: Draw a black mark over the cast body numbers to improve their visibility. The 10-inch ratchet (Fig. 2) has a standard 72-tooth mechanism with a 5-degree click, a release button, and a direction-of-rotation selector. Well, albeit a bit heavy with a thick pear-shaped head. The U-joint (Fig. 5) is strong. The 3.5" and 10" extensions are well equipped with spring loaded ball inserts to hold the sockets. The kit also includes an adapter adapter (1/2" female to 3/8" male) that allows me to use smaller 3/8" sockets (Figure 6). A hole in the adapter allows for the use of a Rail. Shaft but can loosen the adapter. This adapter is really useful as there are no standard length sockets. The hole is of dubious value in my opinion. The set is like a very good tool set.
