This cable was about to replace the old Cat5e cable when the plastic clip on the end of the computer broke. (The cable worked fine - just didn't stay connected.) This new Cat7 cable (fully 5e compatible) failed from the start. Good reliable connection but no data transfer. I threw it away and ordered a pair of Cat6 cables from another seller with tons of good reviews here on Revain. Why bother with the problem of returning a defective cable and possibly getting another defective cable? I'm a busy guy and I'm sure you are too. Our time is more valuable than this. Right? Oh, one more thing. The plastic part that you can use to press against the plastic bracket was interfering with the back of my DELL XPS-17 laptop, making connecting/disconnecting a bit tricky (too long in my opinion. And no, it didn't interfere with the electrical connector of course. ). I reconnected the old cable and everything is fine until I find a good replacement for it.
