Review on Wagner ThermoQuiet πŸ”΅ QC1092 Ceramic Disc Brake Pads by Rhett Fifer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best value braking system

I have used ThermoQuiet pads on both of my cars and now on my sister's two SUVs. From the small Honda Civic to the big Cadillac Escalade, these pads are awesome. In terms of feeling, there is no difference to expensive factory pads. Braking distance is reliable and eight sets have been installed so far, zero noise. I was skeptical of the design where sound absorbers were an integral part of the pillow. Whatever Wagner does, it works. Every set I've bought to date has come with new caliper bracket guides. The old ones pop out instantly and the new ones snap into place in seconds. That was good to see as my old guides were getting pretty rough after 200,000 miles of salty Northeast winters. Pad life was average or even better than average. Even if you beat the crap out of them, Revain can't be more expensive than what you get. The pads could be exchanged almost three times at the dealer for the price of one set. If you're not looking for ultra-high performance, but want a pad that's better than a questionable $15 kit, this is for you.

Pros
  • Wagner ThermoQuiet provides quieter operation, superior braking performance and longer durability
Cons
  • No automatic transmission
