I'm pretty sure this has prevented theft many times when I've parked my bike around town, along with the separate cable I have for the wheels. It feels scary and looks scary. Sometimes I just wear it around my own neck to make a bold fashion statement. The only problem is that the unlock feature is incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes I have no problems, other times I feel like a criminal trying to steal my own bike. You know the old adage about how stupid it is to "do the same thing and expect better results"? Well it really works with this lock. I turn the key back and forth until it randomly decides to open. Not such a great feature when you're trying to escape an upcoming zombie apocalypse. But once you unlock it, oh my gosh be careful because it becomes a real weapon. I trained my skills as Nun Chuck with this demon. Makes my bike safe and me dangerous.
