Really handy for making videos on desktop, also good for watching videos on your iPad, it stands firmly on my kitchen table. The arm is long enough to shoot overhead, easy to change the height and angle, definitely more sturdy than the gooseneck. The base part is quite heavy and completely covered with a non-slip pad. You can rest assured that your mobile phone will not fall when installing. But beware, there is a risk of falling when shooting horizontally with the iPad, the arms are too long for the base to support the weight of the iPad.
