While this product is good value for money, I am concerned about the overall design. Arrived on time and in the packaging marked as 'Fragile', everything inside was well packed and undamaged. CFLs have a color temperature of 5500K, which matches the daylight spectrum and produces a pure blue-white hue. The bulbs draw 43 watts each, which equates to 110 watts of incandescent lumens. In addition, CFLs take a few seconds to reach full brightness and even longer in colder conditions as you charge the illuminant gas inside. Translation: Give these lights a few minutes before determining if they are bright enough for your intended use. Ease of use adds to the overall value, especially tripods. Three minutes later everything was set up and switched on. While you don't get a case or carrying case, all of the components fold down into a manageable size and are very easy to store or carry. In addition, each tripod has threaded caps that can be removed to reveal a standard camera mount. Very handy when there is enough natural light and you want to install a second or third camera. The only real concern is the build quality. So 4 stars instead of 5 for a very convenient $40 kit. The attachment points on the tripod are made of plastic and break easily if overtightened. The same applies to the fixing of the lamp/diffuser, and outdoors strong winds can cause breakage at the fixing points. The tripod stand is not fully included with the flashlight mount, I will post a photo. It's fine if you just set them up for recording once, with no intention of repositioning them multiple times. I would like to see a deeper notch in the mount to ensure a more secure fit. But hey, for less than $40, I'm happy with the result. The light is crisp and clear and the quality of my videos and photos has improved. As we only use them for recording YouTube videos at home I have a feeling I'll have a decent lifespan with this kit which is why I'm giving it 4 stars overall.
