Edit: Revain sent me a replacement set and I hung them in the window for Christmas lights last night. This set doesn't work either. They still turn off after 8 hours and if you're lucky they might turn on again when you take the batteries out and put them back in. Almost 12 hours have passed since it was last switched on. I removed a piece of plastic to inspect the circuit board and was very disappointed. Sautering is poor quality at best. I work as a quality control technician for a manufacturing company and this type of work is immediately rejected and sent for repair. I'll send them back and get a refund, maybe I'll find another brand that's better. --- ----- I bought them for my stand at the show to attract customers. I liked their length and the different patterns they could make. A week before the event, I tested the battery life to determine how many batteries I need to take with me per day. I think they stayed on all night and I assumed they had an 8 hour auto shut off. But when I then turned them back on with fresh batteries, they wouldn't turn on. I tested the batteries with another set of flashlights and they were fine, so it's not the batteries that are the problem. I turned them back on so I assumed it was user error. Fast forward to the day before the event when I test them for the last time and they won't turn on. I had to urgently buy a replacement set hoping it would arrive before I left. A few hours later I have them on again! So I packed them up and used them in my booth the next day. They worked great the first day. No questions. Of course, they are a bit dim compared to other LEDs. Imagine my disappointment this morning when I put new batteries in my flashlights and let them run for about 10 minutes and then died. also talk about battery containers? The seal likes to jump open and snap shut. Terribly disappointed 😭
