I'm a Controls Engineer and can program Watlow 988 type controllers for industrial applications. I bought this Inkbird controller for a fun home project with low expectations considering it's cheap. However, I was surprised at how much I like this controller. I was only able to connect it following the diagram printed on the side of the device. I then ran into the same problem as GB did in their review where they said they couldn't get it back into autotune mode. I checked the help manual and found within a minute that I had to set one of the user preferences to "2" to trigger the autotune. This works great and autotuning has optimized my process very well since it is non-linear and asymmetric (fast in one direction, very slow in the other). Again, I'm surprised at how quickly this was implemented (it probably took me 10 minutes to open the box with the box connected and auto-configured) and how well the auto-configuration options work. I live by controller theory and I really like this controller, especially considering its price.
