Do not trust this carrier to transport your pet.
I was first attracted to this product because it was spacious enough to comfortably seat my 15 pound dog and also lightweight. Unfortunately it didn't hold up well. As soon as I put my darling and his pillow in the carrier and tried to lift it for the first time, it buckled under his weight and the handle fell off the device. However, it served as a restraint that kept my dog comfortable throughout the 8 hour drive until I attempted to pick him up. I sent it back and found the carrier defective.
