The cable on my Flexsteel recliner part broke. I ordered two different brand handles with cable parts because all the sellers say that variations in the exposed cable length are critical to getting the right cable. I did not find that to be the case BUT the one from another vendor I got ( which is the one I tried first of course ) seemed like it would work but I could not push the plastic retainer slip piece through the opening. I thought it was me but when I compared it to the original broken part, I saw that this plastic clip was a little thicker -that's why it wouldn't go in. So Then I got the TTMAGIC cord and saw it's retainer clip was the same thickness as the broken one. This one installed beautifully and corrected the problem. Works great now. Who would have thought the plastic retainer clips would vary in size.One other thing - when removing the old part- pay very close attention to where the metal hook goes in and into which hole.You can always look at the other (good) side of your sofa to see how it goes in.
