I had a hidden suspicion that my oven wasn't heating up well. Sure enough, when the oven beeped that it had hit 350 degrees, this little fella read 250 degrees. Now I have to check the temperature sensor, but that's another day! The only downsides, I wish the hook was more like a clip, when you put something in the oven it knocks the thermometer off the shelf. And when hooked to the counter, it tilts down a bit so you either have to grab it (with an oven mitt, of course) or stand almost on your head to read it (that might not be a problem if you have it). a built-in oven, but for those of us with a lower oven, that's annoying.
