The Micro Mate feels fragile and when taken out of the box it feels nimble. This feeling is also supported by the fact that the card stands out and the goods are cheap. However, when it's actually plugged into a USB port and a card inserted, it works fine. The computer recognizes it immediately and inserts an SD card as if it had an internal card reader installed, if not better than via USB 2.0. Copy and write cycles are fast and smooth. With an LED display, which some card readers unfortunately lack, it surpasses them in terms of design and usability.
