TLDR: Pretty well made for purpose, but installation can be risky. They snap in pretty well, although a slightly better latch makes installation easier (they'll likely pop open if hit during installation). Here's the catch: installation is more complicated than you might think. First, they don't come with screws or anchors. In most cases, you mount them in drywall. So I found some small screws and plastic anchors I already had and then started drilling the first anchor. After half an inch, I suddenly encountered resistance and decided I needed to think about it before continuing. I've noticed that I'm drilling next to a waterline, I'm trying to fit this cover around, and if I were to drill a waterline behind the wall... that would be bad (and messy and time consuming, and/or expensive to fix). I ended up using smaller self-tapping screws with no dowels. They held up well enough to hold each panel in place (without worrying about a line). Not great, but good enough and the end result was visually pleasing. It strikes me that these panels are inherently problematic to install and I would think twice before buying them again. knew?
