I will be very careful when using your TV's USB cable for power unless the one I received is defective or shorted out. I have a Sony XBR75X850D and this LED strip fried my motherboard. I replaced the motherboard with a new one and the TV works fine again. I then connected the light bar to the new mainboard and after 1 1/2 days the USB 1 burned out. That's exactly what he did with the first motherboard. I had no problems with this TV until I plugged it in. I would suggest plugging them into an outlet instead of a TV.
