EGR makes installation a little more tedious than you might expect

Anyway, it was high quality and did what it was supposed to do. Bleed screw: required. Ordinary plastic - garbage. The supplied vent screw also includes an O-ring and is easy to screw in. Does not leak and holds the pressure. Spacer: Includes longer screws with the same thread and 12mm head. Threading is easy too, although the factory filter head requires all mounting screws to be perfectly vertical before the threads engage, making installation a little more tedious than you might expect, but still easy. The spacer kit isn't to blame, the factory bolts are the same. I'm glad they cut out the screw holes on the spacer instead of just drilling them. The notch definitely made installation easier. Which brings me to the next point. My Duramax LB7 has Cali emissions and EGR too. Since many of the solenoids and vacuum lines are essentially mounted on top of the fuel filter head, getting to the bolts was a major challenge. There were three additional screws I had to loosen to get to them and rotate the tool a few degrees as well. So if you have EGR in it, plan for the installation to take a little longer than "Hey, it's only two bolts, it'll be quick and easy!" Overall, for such a simple product, it's pretty good. Dad got the filter head out from under all the EGR stuff and made more room to access the filter.
