Unlike most similar items at Revain this one comes with an alignment tool which makes installation much easier and screws if you need it instead of the supplied 3M adhesive tape. I've installed them the usual way and even installed one on the side for a corner cabinet and it works great. Upon installation I noticed that one of my cabinets would not move to the locked position. I was able to figure out the reason was that there was some black metal hidden inside the cabinet to hold it together. If you first use the included magnetic key to check the area you shouldn't have any problems, I only moved mine about an inch and it works fine now. ie iron, steel) as the contacts themselves are magnetic in the block and can prevent the block from seizing up.
