1/4" collet won't hold some 1/4" bits. I love spending $250 and it becomes a mystery RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! (Is it a collet or bad bits? Should be bits right?) then you have to spend more money (on new bits) and wait a few days to find out that the new bits don't fit either. Now I sit down and look at the bits, tool and collets then write to customer service, wait about a day and then get an email from repair service saying the only thing I need ( a new collet), is not in stock! FOR A MONTH! Now I have work in progress, a dump truck waiting for traffic lights (no hauling dirt = no making money), a few odds and ends, a week's wait (yet) and an expensive German paperweight! Thank you for taking my money. 45 minutes "opening" of two 4" holes to 4 1/2" becomes XX? Days of frustration and extra spending. This verification takes longer than a damn job! LOLI loves it when it's harder to get a tool you're willing to pay for than the job you're trying to get done, but nobody PAYS me to go to the trouble of making everything work. Thanks METABO (and if it's because the 1/4" collet doesn't fit the metric equivalent shaft size, then just add a few more turns to the tool so it can tighten the parts a bit. so close, but so far away .like bits that took off!
