The IDE power connector must move back and forth.
SATA interface works great! No problem, however the IDE interface would not accept one of my old Maxtor hard drives as the distance between the IDE connector and the IDE power connector on the hard drive is slightly shorter than standard hard drives. The device would work better if the IDE power connector was a bit loose.
