Review on DrainX SPINFEED 50 Foot Drum Auger: Manual or Drill Powered Plumbing Snake - Auto Extend/Retract, Gloves & Storage Bag Included by Etai Gopala

I bought this in the 50ft version because I needed the extra length to reach certain parts of my house's plumbing that my Ridgid counterpart could reach , 25-foot version, so as not to hit . First, the auto-retract/extend feature didn't work. I even misplaced the cord in my yard and tried to wind it up with the cordless drill that came with it. Absolutely no rollback. So I compared them side by side, they are almost identical except for the length. However, both were supposed to use a 1/4 flex cable, but upon close inspection of DrainX, the cable was a smaller diameter, so the auto-extend and retract feature didn't work. The mechanism couldn't "bite" the cable, if you will. How much less, I don't know. I didn't want to break the caliper to find out, but it was different to the eye. Very disappointed.
