My main concern when buying it was that it would not bend or fall apart as suggested by reviews of similar products. No, they hold their shape and won't bend unless you really force them to. I never brushed my tongue as a kid, but as I got used to it in my teens, I just switched to toothbrushes with longer-lasting toothbrushes. Stubble. They always did their job. However, for my dad, I knew I needed a separate product that he could use to make the process easier. It was great for him. I've used mine a few times now and as other reviews indicate, it actually works. It was a little rough on my tongue so I ended up using a toothbrush again which gets my tongue just as clean. If you already brush your tongue with a toothbrush and are happy with the result, then you definitely don't need it. But if you're looking for a product to speed up the process or add variety to your routine (or maybe you have a toothbrush with bristles that are too soft), this is a great choice.
