I had mine a few years ago with no problems. Took them hunting with a large, closed chest harness for at least two seasons. I also use Vortex 18x56 Kaibab, 10x50 Steiner with range finder, 10x40 Bushnell Legend and 10x32 Leopold. I don't see any advantage during the day either. All are built for different purposes. At night I find a 10x50 swivel better. I have never reviewed Vortex Razors, I think they are even better. If I'm going to run more than a mile then I do 10 x 32 seconds. If I plan to shoot at unknown ranges, I prefer the damn heavy Steiner rifle. When hunting with a quad, hunting blind, or hunting under a mile, I prefer 10x50s. 18x56s were previously only good on the beach or on vacation. My Bushnell 10x40 is probably ten years old and completely worn out. I fired her and left her in the car just in case. I find the 10x50 R/T Swirl binoculars to be a good combo binocular to use in place of anything, although the 10x50 is a bit large for a heavily wooded area. I think in heavily wooded areas it is better to use 8x40 or 8x50.
