I got this for my college granddaughter for Christmas. The material is not very heavy and not very light, but a comfortable weight. It can be worn until spring. The hidden pocket will serve her well as she doesn't have to carry around her phone, purse or wallet. All of this will be in the scarf! Only thing is the zipper is so hidden it can be hard to find but once you get the hang of it it should be fine.
