Review on Folding Adjustable Aluminium Reflective Anti Slip by Jarrett Francis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Issues on first use

When I first used it, one of the leg latches fell apart (the latch that keeps it from folding). When I picked it up after a few minutes of use, one of the plastic caps on the legs fell off. Extension locks are stiff and a bit difficult to use, but acceptable. They haven't broken after just one use, but I'm a little worried about the plastic locking mechanism. The leg locks are not very important as the legs want to stay apart when weight is on the step. You can try to fold if the step is on loose dirt and a lateral force is applied. I plan to drill holes in the covers and add screws to keep them from falling off. After that, this might be an acceptable step, but I may need to find a better way to lock my legs in the down position. The quality definitely doesn't reflect the price paid but I think I can fix it rather than return it. Aside from the mechanism to fold and unfold the legs, the step feels solid and I like its size.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
