Review on Relax In Style With JUMMICO Recliner Chair In Aurora Grey - Adjustable Home Theater Single Fabric Sofa Furniture by Matthew Richards

Smallish and Fragile

The Jummico chair is exceptionally easy to assemble - and it looks good too! The fabric is very stylish and very easy to clean. It's intended as a "home theater" recliner yet, curiously enough, does not have arms that are thick enough to include a drink holder. It's actually just a smallish, bare bones recliner primarily made out of plywood. And there's the problem. After having the chair for about a month, I made the mistake of leaning slightly into the upper right armrest with my elbow. Bad move. I heard a loud crunching sound, and it wasn't my bone. It was the arm of the chair. It did not totally cave in, but it is never a good sign when plywood makes a cracking sound. I honestly don't know how much longer the chair's arm will last.I don't think my use of the chair was excessive. I only sat it in for 2-3 hours a day while reading or watching TV.It's also on the smallish side. This would be a great chair for someone under 5 foot 8. It's wide enough for me at 185 pounds, but at 6 feet tall my feet do hang off the footrest when I set the chair in the reclining position. This is not the case with another, more expensive recliner that I have in my living room.I guess this chair is okay for occasional use, possibly in a guest room. I am not so dissatisfied that I would return it. For the price point, it's alright. I just wouldn't claim that this is built to last.

Pros
  • The simple and modern design of the chair makes it easy to match with a variety of home decor styles
Cons
  • The chair's fabric is itchy, causing discomfort to sensitive skin
