Review on ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Foam Pneumatic Walker Brace/Walking Boot by Aircast by Francisco Garcia

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Comfortable but not for long.

I have had these boots for about 3 weeks and they are already worn out. The first issue I had was the boot makes a squeaky noise and feels weird at heel strike, but it's not really a big issue and definitely not the reason I gave this review such a low score. The velcro that wraps around the foot (large gray insert) becomes less sticky and completely unusable in places. Yes, Velcro wears out, but not that quickly.2. There are 3 straps to tighten and secure this. The top strap keeps detaching from the tongue when I tighten the strap. Not sure why, because the strap and tongue hook up perfectly, but it just loses contact every time. That being said, it's very comfortable when walking, which is why I recommend it for when you have an injury and your doctor says you can walk it. But it's definitely not easy to sleep on and I always take it off at night because it's very uncomfortable to wear when going to bed. Just to be clear I would give this one 5 stars as it does its job well when brand new. But it wears out too quickly to recommend. My injury is a broken foot and it will probably take 6 weeks to recover so I'm hoping I'm okay but those with long recovery times may need to find more durable boots. Maybe that's why it's so cheap compared to those sold in medical supply stores, but I can't confirm that.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • very expensive
