Good leash for training - beware of leash burns

This leash is strong, light weight and easy to hold. Comfortable grip for all hand sizes. The unfenced dog park across from my apartment building requires dogs to be on a leash at all times so my Boxer can run and play with other dogs but I can remain in control. He is strong, but the leash holds perfectly. Good quality clamp. The leash gets tangled easily, but the knots are easy to untie and the leash straightens up quickly. One problem we had was that the first few times we used my dog, she didn't realize she was still on the leash so she ran too far. The leash tends to get under him as he runs, and he ends up badly burning the leash on the inside of his thigh. My dog also wrapped this leash around my husband's leg and ran away one day causing my husband an equally bad leash burn. This is by no means a problem unique to this type of leash, but one should still be aware of it to avoid damage. This leash was a great stepping stone to work toward off-leash obedience. We put our dog on this leash and let him follow us while we work on the heel and so on. If he starts misbehaving or being disobedient, we can just put the leash on him and stop him. We didn't tie knots on the leash as mentioned by other reviews as we never had a problem with the leash slipping under our feet when entering. This is a great training tool. I would buy this leash again, especially at this great price. In fact, we're thinking about going to 50ft next time and buying the same brand.
