Review on πŸ•’ BARTON Choice Standard Men's Watch Bands by Dewitt Bhattacharya

ATTENTION: ANOTHER spring bar is responsible for a total loss!

The whole purpose of the NATO style strap is to hold and save the watch in case a spring bar fails. What did I find when I received this product? The buckle has a single spring bar. a failure will cause the watch and bracelet to fall off your wrist; In fact, it happened to another one-star reviewer (see "Needs better quality control in product" below) and it shattered his crystal. This single spring bar is quite weak and lightly spring loaded and fits freely into the buckle. Genuine NATO straps have a strong one-piece buckle. and the buckle tongue folds around the buckle shank instead of being fixed by the spring bar. The tape is then folded over the assembly, welded and sewn for integrity. Look at the photo and you can see the tiny hole in the buckle mold that the spring bar goes through. This is intended to make assembly easier and faster for Barton. You can buy pre-rolled tongues, which are then attached to the buckles by poorly paid worker bees. Rather than buying a more complicated machine to bend the lugs around the one-piece buckle stem. They know that such a buckle can fail, but they don't really care; It's about profit, not expensive watches. It's a shame I didn't notice that earlier. This product is a cheap knockoff that cuts corners in both hardware and strap design. Some other posts describe fraying of the edges and lengthening of the tongue holes. Conclusion: You can easily take your expensive watch with you. It's not worth the money to send it back so I'll write it off as a loss. If you took the time to read this review, well done. If not, good luck.
