So far, so good. I've flown about 10 times and used them on my SKB cases I tested (a 70#) with no issues, TSA hasn't cut or lost them yet so that's a bonus. The combo wheels spin easily, almost to the point where they feel flimsy, but I think it's just that they're actually lubed on the inside, unlike typical locks, which aren't and are difficult to rotate / turn. I think because the locks are round they slide over any pinch or obstacle and won't fall off your pocket or get damaged. I was concerned that the estate wheels would be damaged on the outside, but with the fact that they are slightly recessed on the outside, there were no problems.
