I wanted to protect the new chair from discoloration, wear and tear over time. It fits well, looks decent and is easy to put on a chair. It would be nice if the back was wider and the strap didn't protrude so much, but I guess you can't have everything. It closes well but moves slowly in the chair and needs adjustment. It tends to creep back into the gap between the backrest and seat base, which means it doesn't always fully cover the footrest. I'm hoping that the little rubber pads that keep it from sliding faster won't hurt the skin over time as it crawls, but I'm far from knowing for sure. At the moment it seems to offer good protection against humans and dogs. Haven't tested it with spills yet, but I'm sure it will over time.
