Review on 💡 Siomen 6" LED Light Engine Retrofit Kit: Energy-efficient Ceiling Fan Light Upgrade with 2100LM, 3000K Warm White Glow by Paul Curington

I couldn't find a ballast for our Windward fans and was tired of replacing 9" round tubes. So, before replacing the fan and light, I decided to try these round LED lights. Very easy to install. I wasn't thrilled with the wire clips so I cut them off. Installation was pretty easy. I removed the ballast block and trimmed the power wires, leaving as much length as possible. I connected the wires to the electrical connectors with a wire and then checked the light. Worked on switch and remote control. Then I used a few pieces of velcro with a thick layer of glue on each side. Fixed to a flat surface where the ballast was attached to the fan and then slid into place, carefully centering the light in the cavity. Replaced the globe and turned on the light. Wow, that was a lot brighter and crisper than the old fluorescent tube and it looks really nice. I can't say anything has changed except that our cave has become lighter. I just ordered another lamp. Before replacing your fan, don't be afraid to try this simple project.
