All furniture should be this easy to assemble. I chose this stand/stand after much comparison and research as it is not chipboard and easy to assemble. No tools required - literally just twist and go. Anyone can do this. I appreciate that it has side fender tracking grooves as well as a few notches and grooves to keep things organized. A slightly rounder finish could have been afforded, but at this price point that would have been prohibitive. The wood is pleasant to look at and simple. There was a slight difference in height on one of the long legs, which I corrected by placing a small aluminum ball underneath. I also appreciate that the feet have rubber bottoms to prevent slipping. Thoughtful design in every way at a great price and a beautiful look that tidies up my desk. Once I installed one I liked it so much I immediately ordered another to apply to the entire workspace.
