I have purchased quite a few speaker cables over the years and I have to say I am happy with this cable. I bought it to replace the 16g cable. It was a short run so I thought it was fine, but I started getting a little EMI in the left speaker. I had wire beating in a loom so at first I thought it was something else. I had to buy new speakers and the problem was still there. I was having issues with my 20+ year old AV receiver (some of the other functions weren't working properly so it's easy to assume that was affected) so I replaced that too. After a bit of research I found that I've updated my surge protector (which I also had for a while so I bought it https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D33N2PM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc =1) , a thicker wire would also help. Also read other reviews about this wire with heavier insulation around the wire and find this to be true. So, despite the fact that the wire was larger and with thicker insulation, I didn't encounter any issues with the wire's flexibility. And it helped with EMI and it seems the overall sound of these speakers has improved so I'm happy with the purchase.
