Since many of us (myself included) prefer cotton to our skin, 100% microfiber bedding is probably a poor choice. Folks, this duvet cover and pillowcase is made of microfiber, which is also known as 100% polyester. I believe this word "microfiber" was chosen as a better option for buyers who don't want to buy polyester. Again, microfiber means polyester. The photos of this duvet cover set show it's so stylish, so beautiful I took the bait and bought it. The number of threads is probably very large indeed. But. It's polyester! If you want a soft film, stay away from such products. I could see right through the packaging that this product is prickly ole poly. And you know, there's a good reason why some of the things we buy are made out of polyester. like raincoats! I returned this kit in favor of 600 threads 100% cotton. I have never touched or seen microfiber sheeting up close before, and I prefer never to see it again.
