Wow these things sound great. This is my first electrostatic driver kit and I am impressed. Vocals, all instruments, even the bass sound so clear. I can hear and feel the deep bass, the mids and highs are so punchy and clear. I've listened to many different genres, from classical to hip-hop and even podcasts. These all sound good. This is a good and safe set for those starting their IEM collection. The supplied cable is fine. I've tried many of my more expensive cables and can't tell the sound apart. If so, I didn't notice. The serial cable fits. No need to spend an extra $20 on a cable. Earplugs, however, are a different story. You are very thin. Almost paper. They don't cause any discomfort, they just don't block sound. I opted for foam pads. Luckily I already had a spare set so I use that and the soundproofing with the foam tips is great. It won't block all noise BUT once you start playing music (especially after 50%) you won't hear a single background noise. The only sound I hear from outside is the wind. Strange, I've only experienced this with noise-cancelling headphones that use external noise-cancelling microphones. When the wind blows into these IEMs, the sound of the wind enters the drivers. It's like you're talking to someone on the phone and someone blows into the microphone. They don't have noise cancellation as far as I know, so I'm not sure what's going on there. I haven't heard other reviewers mention this. Maybe they didn't use them in windy weather. But sitting in front of a fan also causes this effect. I finally tried them on my Sony NW-A55 DAP and also tried them directly from my iPhone 12 with a dongle and I have to say they sound better right away. iPhone. Most DAPs add their own layer of customization, so it affects the sound of each IEM. With my Sony Dap the sound was a bit muffled but still good but when I heard it through my iPhone wow. I used Spotify and Apple Music and they both sounded the same. The sound was just incredible. I hear everything well, clear and detailed. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone but especially new IEM users. Try them right from your phone, just buy yourself a nice pair of earbuds and you're good to go. Oh I've also tried them wirelessly via my KZ AZ09 Bluetooth adapters and they sound just as good. If you want to use them wirelessly, just buy an AZ09 adapter to convert them to Bluetooth. Get it with a "Type C" connector for a perfect fit.
