Photo not great but this chair is so comfortable because it is very well padded BUT it looks more like 25.5". instead of 24 because they are so well padded! They are difficult to reach. I'm 5ft 7" and my husband is 5ft 6" and it's hard for both of us to get on top of him and hold him. If 25.5 inches is what you want and swelling/comfort is what you want, great. Also looks good in our kitchen. But I prefer functionality to beauty.
