Works well - my new review
I bought it for my Macbook Pro in early 2015. It works great as an extended monitor. The setup was basically plug and play. No download, no drivers or software. The cable that came with the kit was defective, but the company sent me a new cable free of charge. I'll take him to the streets next week, hopefully he keeps shining. Good graphics.
