Review on πŸ”Œ PowerJive USB Voltage/Amps Power Meter Tester Multimeter: Accurately Measure Charger & Cable Speed, Power Bank Capacity by Brian Trotter

Neat little bug

Useful tool, sniff how much current is being drawn, say, charging a phone from a USB port, from a self-powered spindisk, etc. I've bought this and DROK devices , and both work fine. Since the display is cheaper, or rather less expensive, it's a basic LCD rather than an OLED, but that's okay. The only difference in operation is that this device appears to report instantaneous current and does not "smooth" the reading, so a dimmed LED rapidly switching from 1/4A to 0A will invert the reading semi-randomly compared to DROK which is a smoothed one 1/8A would show. On the other hand you might want to know that the current drawn is oscillating compared to linear regulation (PWMed). Useful little creature, I keep it with me in my pocket to see how long my phone charges (by watching the power drop). when it's about to complete) instead of just seeing the charge indicator flashing and having no idea if it's at 50% or 95% without turning it off to check.
