Neat little bug

Useful tool, sniff how much current is being drawn, say, charging a phone from a USB port, from a self-powered spindisk, etc. I've bought this and DROK devices , and both work fine. Since the display is cheaper, or rather less expensive, it's a basic LCD rather than an OLED, but that's okay. The only difference in operation is that this device appears to report instantaneous current and does not "smooth" the reading, so a dimmed LED rapidly switching from 1/4A to 0A will invert the reading…

Great Price Ease of Use Dark Screen

Despite the very dark screen this is a great device that does exactly what it advertises. Plug it into a 5V charging circuit (typical of cell phones, batteries and solar chargers) and it will read voltage, amps and mAh. Multiply mAh by voltage and divide by 1000 to get watt hours. I use this as a small hiking solar panel (21W, 5V) while charging an Anker battery pack (16000mAh). I have found that the solar array is consistently outputting 5 volts at 1 amp at 2000 mAh = 10 watt hours. I also…

Cool battery analysis tool!

A great little device for the price for checking voltage and current from the USB charging sockets and gathering information about the capacity of your external batteries. This can be helpful in determining if the charging port is working properly or if your device is having trouble charging, especially if you suspect the battery is dead. For example, if your battery has a capacity of 1500mAh, you can run this device between the charging port and your device when it's low and see how many…
