Review on πŸ”Œ PowerJive USB Voltage/Amps Power Meter Tester Multimeter: Accurately Measure Charger & Cable Speed, Power Bank Capacity by Mike Wieneke

Cool battery analysis tool!

A great little device for the price for checking voltage and current from the USB charging sockets and gathering information about the capacity of your external batteries. This can be helpful in determining if the charging port is working properly or if your device is having trouble charging, especially if you suspect the battery is dead. For example, if your battery has a capacity of 1500mAh, you can run this device between the charging port and your device when it's low and see how many milliamps it takes to fully charge it. Batteries lose capacity as they age, so this is helpful in assessing if your battery is likely to fail. To test power supplies you need something that draws current at a fixed rate so you can read or adjust it to calculate capacity. I've used this with a DC load tester, which regulates the current loading on the PSU and allows you to see fairly accurately how many milliamps are actually being drawn from a fully charged PSU. The results can often be unexpected as many power supplies are slightly overpriced. Definitely worth 5 stars for the information he can provide.
