Got it today and already installed it. They are fairly solidly built and shouldn't have any weather resistance issues. I mounted them under the eaves to keep them out of direct moisture but seal well. I also used clear silicone over the joints to prevent corrosion and maintain good conductivity. I also switched the transformer to switch mode mode so it stays off 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and to extend the life of the unit. I just flip the switch when I want to use them and plug them into my device. I should also note that they mated quickly with no issues. I can't say exactly what the range between the speakers and the device is, because I haven't tested it yet. They sound great for their size. Don't expect a loud rumble, but they make a great addition to a porch or patio. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and I think the price for the product I received is fair, especially for the Bluetooth product as there aren't many options in this category.
