Review on 🦟 Zap It Bug Zapper Racket – Battery Powered (2xAA Included), 3,500 Volt, 2 Pack: A Powerful Solution for Bug Control by Robert Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Multiple locks may be required for some bugs.

I definitely like the size of the shifting range and the fact that this version runs on battery rather than USB so I don't have to think about charging as often. However, I bought this specifically to try and catch this mosquito we had and it literally took me 4 hits before I was finally able to kill it. During the first two hits I saw the bug fly and the bat got in the way of it and heard it smack, but was disappointed and amazed that the mosquito didn't die. So I waited for him and watched him pass and threw two more times and the final punch was most effective as I laid him face down on the wooden floor and held my finger closed for a while to make sure he was still up moved. He hit him a few more times and eventually he was killed. With the safety net and the plastic Z emblem, it can sometimes be difficult for me to get the bug to accurately touch the electric coil to kill it, or the bug's size can also make it more difficult (eg .smaller bugs or thinner bugs like mosquitoes compared to fly content). I think it might be the problem why it took me so many hits to kill that one insect instead of believing it was the spark gap force.

Pros
  • Each replacement part comes with 2 AA batteries. Ready to use straight out of the box, simply peel off the white paper from the back of the racket to activate.
Cons
  • Doubtful
