Works for the "casual cyclist! "
I bought this for a 50 mile race and it was exactly what I was looking for. I placed an extra battery and phone on the handlebars right in front of me and held them tight throughout the race! It doesn't offer water protection, but that wasn't part of my buying criteria. I'll update the durability info later, but it seems solid on first use. I recommend if you want to install both the phone and an extra battery.
