I'm a fan of smart home. I recently returned you Samsung SmartThings. I had a first generation hub, which I thought was a disaster. So I recently bought a 3rd gen SmartThings hub. The UI has changed so I decided to try again. For this button I use Philips Hue Touch. and i figured instead of paying that 40 bucks for another tab i would buy a pair of these. It's pretty easy to set up. You click the buttons to add devices. You scan the QR code with your mobile phone. And the rest is taken care of. Sounds easy right? Well when it's done it says it's in standby mode. It says update the software, which will update automatically when the device is available. I take it, I set up two other keys and they end up with the same problems. It's been about 3 days of troubleshooting and waiting to go into standby mode. I'm pretty much done with it. It goes back to Revain and another one I bought from Best Buy. I have all the multipurpose sensors from the old system, 5 total. They work great. I have all my 4 motion sensors that I was able to connect with no issues. I was able to get to a new multi sensor I just bought which worked great in setup and is working fine now. But those three buttons are a waste of your money, a waste of your time. a product that doesn't even work. Let's say to make sure it's close to your wifi router, I've installed all three of these buttons within 6 inches of the wifi router for the past 3 days. This product is terrible.
