The kit includes plastic pipes that cannot withstand real off-road conditions. Rubber hoses are commonly used for differential breather kits because rubber can remain flexible over a wide range of temperatures. This kit uses a plastic tube that is easy to break on any cold day or post-season hot weather. This kit arrived at my house in about 60F and the pipe was so hard I couldn't bend it by hand without breaking it. This would render the kit completely unusable. If you want to use fittings, you can replace the pipe with a rubber hose, but in this case just another set.
