A differential / axle breather serves the important purpose on a 4WD vehicle of venting the air pressure in drivetrain assemblies such as the differentials, transmission and transfer case. The differential breather Kit is designed to eliminate the factory breathers shortcoming by providing a high flow, zero back pressure, zero vacuum breather system. The differential breather Kit is unique in that it uses 8mm tubing (where most other kits use 6mm tubing). 8mm Polyethylene tubing is oil resistant, water resistant and heat resistant,make the installation simple and fast. Please note: It is a aftermarket replacement for ARB 170112 Kit.

Plastic Hose Rubber Free

The kit includes plastic pipes that cannot withstand real off-road conditions. Rubber hoses are commonly used for differential breather kits because rubber can remain flexible over a wide range of temperatures. This kit uses a plastic tube that is easy to break on any cold day or post-season hot weather. This kit arrived at my house in about 60F and the pipe was so hard I couldn't bend it by hand without breaking it. This would render the kit completely unusable. If you want to use fittings…

ARB fake but works

This is a half price branded product that ARB makes. Interesting, it's the same lol, anyway you'll see other reviews getting upset about the line associated with it, but I used it. I don't think it's that bad and they give you more than enough to put the rear differential anywhere. I routed mine to the engine next to the transfer case as I plan on repeating the lines on them and putting them all in one place. Be careful when screwing in the diff. Missing Parts and Poor Customer Service

Bought two for my FJ40. One for my front axle and one for my rear axle. Install axle breather but both kits were missing two plugs. Contacted the seller twice and got no response. The tube is very rigid and uncomfortable to maneuver. It was easier to install two separate filters than to drag the hose like a snake in the middle of the car. Also, the plastic cover that holds the filter in place simply snaps into place and can be easily removed if you're going for a rough 4 wheel ride. A bit of…

Looks great and easy to install

Similar to other larger more expensive brands but offers the same features. Installation was easy, although no instructions were included. It's not too difficult to attach one end to the rear differential, run the included hose to the front of the truck, and bolt the filter to the firewall. However, I would like to warn you of a concern that the hose fittings are not made of high-strength steel.
