I was probably lucky on the first try and I prayed and rammed perfectly. This morning I took some nice pictures, very tasty. Definitely the best I've ever tasted - anywhere! Of course, it also helped that I just roasted the beans yesterday (in the Nostalgia Hot Air Popcorn I got from Revain!). It was very frustrating to get a good throw and the next one was only dripping after a drop. Or a crappy shot followed by a mediocre one. The problem was, what remained a mystery, what was wrong—the pump, the thermostat, the grinder, the tamper, the limer, or any of the machine's many small components that needed periodic replacement. I even took it to the service once. What I love about the Flair is the complete control over water temperature, draw strength and burn time. There is no indication of what could go wrong. Just me, coffee and a lever. You have no idea how nice it is to see the perfect froth in a cup. Besides amazing functionality, it is also a well-built device. The details are very well finished, everything fits together perfectly. Note this weighs over seven pounds. This is a good indication of how durable it is. I have a feeling that the Flair will likely outlast decades of everyday use. The only parts I can see that can wear out are the plastic plunger and possibly the screens that go through the bottom.
