Incredible and beautiful.

The Flair is the second espresso machine I own. It's way better than the little electric I had years ago. This is the first manual espresso machine I have ever used. I read a lot before making this purchase. The espresso I make with it is wonderful. The whole process (grinding, assembling, pressing) creates an unforgettable experience. The appearance is elegant and beautiful on my coffee bar. You will not be disappointed.

Good espresso but disappointing machine

Flair makes delicious espresso. I really enjoyed doing this from home. Admittedly, this is a generally delicate process. This works well enough for one person, but if you want to do more it will take a while. I WANTED to buy a different brew head to streamline this process. I'm glad I waited. I originally bought it because it's a very basic car. lever and piston. Few things can go wrong. I thought the high cost was a result of quality materials and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, the linkage is…

I wish I could give this six stars!

I was probably lucky on the first try and I prayed and rammed perfectly. This morning I took some nice pictures, very tasty. Definitely the best I've ever tasted - anywhere! Of course, it also helped that I just roasted the beans yesterday (in the Nostalgia Hot Air Popcorn I got from Revain!). It was very frustrating to get a good throw and the next one was only dripping after a drop. Or a crappy shot followed by a mediocre one. The problem was, what remained a mystery, what was wrong—the pump,

Uncomfortable at first, but the end result is a great espresso!

Good workmanship, but it is difficult to put all the parts together just for an espresso. You'll also need a bowl of hot water to put a few pieces in before taking the shot. If you want to make a latte, you'll also need a milk frother(?) and a milk warmer (I use a small saucepan on the stovetop for a few minutes). Oh, you'll also need a coffee grinder to grind the coffee beans fine enough to make a good shot. The trick I found from another Revain user was to buy a good manual coffee grinder…

An interesting concept with some weaknesses.

Having owned this car for a while I feel I can give a detailed review. As an avid coffee connoisseur, I buy green beans from trusted sources and roast them to my specifications. For comparison: I have over 40 brewers. Aesthetic design: very pleasant. I think that's what attracted me to the car in the first place. Mechanical design: leaves a lot to be desired. The filter group/piston cylinder is bulky. Difficult to preheat (cylinders in hot water). Removing the plunger can be difficult as it is…

Just buy it. - coffee, tea and espresso

If you're afraid to spend $160 on a manual coffee maker that you're not sure you'll ever use, let me put your mind at ease. . I'm a machinist for life and the quality and craftsmanship is excellent. Quality I would like to sell. Secondly, the quality of this drink is simply outstanding. My wife and I have several coffee shops in the area where we live that we enjoy going to and since we bought this one we have found that the quality of their coffee (which we were previously so happy with) has…

Small motor that can

The perfect espresso machine. I have the first edition and there are a few improvements over the current model: 1. The arm supporting the red base is stronger (I broke mine by literally squeezing it with my whole weight - 175lbs)2 . The filter has a narrower silicone sleeve - the first version had a longer silicone sleeve which I cut with a stainless steel cylinder3. In the new version, the piston fits perfectly into the cylinder and the metal piston cap fits and adheres perfectly (I also…

The best portable coffee maker on the market.

I love this product and its design. I was looking for a compact espresso machine to be closer to what I use at home. I had the Ranchilio Silvia, then the Breville Oracle which I love but can't take with me when I travel. I've tried many portable devices. I've tried ROK and a few other less expensive brands like Handpresso and Minipresso, which work but don't offer the quality or lather of a homemade kit that costs $1000-$2000 at least. I also found another small plastic device called the Prexo…

Best portable espresso maker under $300 available today

I've had Handpresso and Minipresso, tried Staresso and many others. none of them actually produced real espresso. Strong coffee, that's what they do, and it's better than weak coffee when it's an alternative - but no more! The Flair makes espresso as good or better than most domestic coffee makers, and for a lot less money! Even more impressive is that it delivers the most reliable and consistent results you will ever get from an espresso machine. The secret of its success lies in its…
