Having owned this car for a while I feel I can give a detailed review. As an avid coffee connoisseur, I buy green beans from trusted sources and roast them to my specifications. For comparison: I have over 40 brewers. Aesthetic design: very pleasant. I think that's what attracted me to the car in the first place. Mechanical design: leaves a lot to be desired. The filter group/piston cylinder is bulky. Difficult to preheat (cylinders in hot water). Removing the plunger can be difficult as it is stuck due to expansion). In order to fire more than one shot or a long puff, the group must be removed, sufficiently cooled, the butt pulled out, and then reinstalled on the machine (no long puffs). It has also been found that packaging and reassembly causes parts to begin to come loose. Cooking: Finding the right pitch for this machine takes time, and it's still difficult to get consistent drama (with a reasonable grind like other machines that deliver consistent drama). If the grid is right, doing three mental presses of 25-40 seconds each creates a decent amount of pressure. Work out. Cleaning: as above, cylinder is hot. Removing the washing machine requires either blowing or tapping through the filter, but since the washing machine is wet, the suction becomes harsh, making removal difficult. Aside from these items, cleaning is easy enough. Travel: Good concept, except there isn't enough room for extras like brew heads, tampers, etc. Otherwise chic design. You also need a source of hot water. Overall I give this place three stars. Not an everyday car for me as it takes too much time and effort. Good looking and wearable. For a portable machine, I prefer the ROK.
