This is not exactly the same blanket I was looking to replace but I am happy with the purchase. Despite the description here, the product label states that it is 100% cotton. When it arrived I was skeptical at first because the weave of the fabric was like gauze. I ran it through the washer and dryer and they shrank into a thick thin blanket with a slightly crumpled texture. I have dogs so most regular cotton or woven blankets get caught on my toenails. This isn't the softest blanket, but it will soften over time. This is a good choice, if you are looking for an ultra light cotton blanket, this is a good choice.
