Assembly was a bit tricky, on a couple of pieces I had to try to squeeze the cord into the rack, on 2 pieces it barely fit and twisted the power cord a bit. I picked it up and tried my best to keep it upright on the low-pile carpet, but it worked until it could no longer be touched. In our case he sat in the corner behind the sofa, so that was acceptable. We were able to turn on the light from the pole, but the remote just didn't work. Yes we followed the pairing instructions, tested the battery but it didn't work! The indicator light on the remote control did not work. The light was ok but not great, using the switches on the pole was inconvenient even without a remote and definitely not worth the price. There was a card in the box that said if we left a 5 star review we would receive a $10 gift card from Revain. It's not worth it if it doesn't work.
